LANZO LUCONI

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and winner of international awards and competitions, Lanzo is opening this new opportunity for international and local young pianists to perform and refine their artistry, contributing to the music development of his home country, Costa Rica.

Pianist and composer with formal academic studies in Mexico, Costa Rica, Germany and New York.

His early sensitivity and affinity for Latin music and jazz allowed him to develop not only improvisation, but also arrangement and composition skills.

 

WILLIAM GRANT NABORE 

UNITED STATES /ITALY

An outstanding teacher, Naboré has shaped some of the finest young artists of this generation.

 

He became founding director of the International Piano Foundation “Theo Lieven” in 1993, created and financed by the German businessman Theo Lieven, who is himself a pianist. The foundation has become one of the most respected musical institutions in the world for the extraordinary successes of its students. This entity now hosts the program Young Masters of the Keyboard at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. Nabore holds the Theo Lieven Chair for Advanced Studies in Piano and Chamber Music Performance at this conservatory.

In 2017 he received the Vendome Award from the Oprheus Foundation of Switzerland for his outstanding contributions to classical music in discovering, nurturing and promoting exceptional young pianists.

Recently, Nabore’s students won first prize at the 2015 Tchaikovsky Piano Competition (Dmitry Masleev) and first prize at the 2015 Honens Competition (Luca Buratto).

SERGEY KUZNETSOV UNITED STATES/RUSSIA

Dr. Sergey Kuznetsov has received his education in the world famous Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in Russia in the studio of Mikhail Voskressensky.  He was awarded his Diploma with High Distinction. 

 

Sergey received the prestigious Lili Kraus Scholarship at TCU in Texas, and commenced his Artist Diploma studies with Professor Tamás Ungár. After winning a conspicuous scholarship, Kuznetsov was widening his education under the guidance of Joaquín Achúcarro at Dallas Southern Methodist University.

 

Sergey received the Doctorate of Musial Arts Degree from University of Southern California in Los Angeles under the guidance of pianist Daniel Pollack.  Dr. Kuznetsov has performed extensively throughout the world, both as soloist and chamber musician. Notable events included winning international prizes at China International Piano Competition, Nena Wideman Piano Competition, Hilton Head International Piano competition, and many other.  

Dr.Sergey Kuznetsov is a faculty member at Lone Star College Montgomery in Houston, Texas. He is also the founder and managing partner of Bakitone International, an agency dedicated to classical music competitions.

VLADIMIR KHOMYAKOV

UNITED STATES/RUSSIA

Vladimir Khomyakov performs over fifty recitals a year as a concert pianist, conductor, chamber musician, and soloist with the world’s best symphony orchestras, such as Houston Symphony, Dresden Philharmonic, Tomsk Symphony, Novosibirsk Symphony, among others. 

 

Khomyakov is a top prizewinner of numerous prestigious piano competitions, including St. Petersburg Open Piano Competition (Russia), Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition (Germany), Emil Gilels International Piano Competition (Ukraine), ISAM International Piano Competition (Germany), and many other.

Dr. Khomyakov is an on-going jury-member of ISAM International Piano Competition, Pacific Musical Society Music Competition (CA), Yuri Yegorov Open Piano Competition (Russia), LANSUM International Music Festival and Competition (Los Angeles, CA), numerous national MTNA competitions in the United States. He regularly teaches Master Classes in Russia, China, Europe, Latin America and the United States. 

 

Vladimir Khomyakov is a visiting faculty at the University of Southern California and assistant to Professor Daniel Pollack, as well as music faculty of the Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, CA).
